Chris Leich

Chris Leich has been passionate about music since a young age. He has performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City, and traveled abroad to Spain, Israel, China, Croatia, and Trinidad and Tobago to perform and further study the art of music. Additionally, he performed with the University of Delaware as principal percussionist for their 2018 orchestra tour of China and their 2019 tour of Spain. He completed his education at Delaware with dual masters degrees in Performance and Composition in 2019.

His compositions stem from listening to smooth jazz radio and early progressive rock with his father. These genres influenced his music, stemming from more modern versions, while also incorporating similar styles. An interest of his is working with complex and odd meters, while remaining focused on the feel and groove of his pieces.
